Throughout this past month at Immanuel we have been celebrating that God’s Word Lights the Way…in our Vocations, Service to Neighbor, Life Decisions, Grief and Hardships, and Community and Fellowship. At every point in the history of our congregation and individual lives, God has been faithfully pursuing, forgiving, holding, leading, and empowering us through God’s Word for life’s journey, and that still holds true amidst the challenges of the present!
We look forward to 2021, not as a freedom from 2020, but as a further opportunity for us as Immanuel Lutheran Church to share the Light of God’s Word into any and all darkness. This is our purpose in our gatherings and our scatterings, whether in-person or physically distanced. May all know the hope which is ours in Christ Jesus our Lord. He is God’s Word birthed to serve to die to rise to reign for us. Come, Lord Jesus!
Our congregation’s ministry is important and deserves our prayers, participation, and our financial support. Thank you for your faithfulness in the past! God’s Spirit invites each of us to increase our involvement, our giving, and together do the vital ministry of Jesus Christ. Will you now take a further step into stewarding God’s Word Lighting the Way with Immanuel by prayerfully considering “Questions and Answers About Our Stewardship Work Together” and completing the “Estimate of Giving” and “Offering of Time & Talent” forms? This Growth Giving Challenge worksheet can be a helpful tool in your prayerful planning. This is a sign of your personal consecration and is a joyful witness of our faith.
